Informative and entertaining guided tours include an indoor exhibit depicting the community of Maitland, a scale model of the “great ship” and heirlooms collected by the Lawrence family during their world travels. The site is an interesting introduction to Nova Scotia’s first municipally designed Heritage Conservation District, Maitland.
Photographers and Birders alike will enjoy the Ducks Unlimited Canada Wetland area adjacent to the museum. A large deck over-looking the pond provides a unique opportunity to experience the natural wonders of some of the Bay of Fundy’s winged inhabitants.
